Rinse Revive Detailing is a mobile car detailing business operating across Falkirk and central Scotland. We are the data controller for the information described on this page.

What we collect, and why

When you contact us

If you fill in the quote form, call, email or message us on WhatsApp, we receive the details you choose to give us, typically your name, your contact details, your vehicle and what you want doing. We use that solely to reply to you and to carry out the work. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry, and, once you book, performance of a contract with you.

Quote form submissions are delivered to us by email and WhatsApp. We keep enquiry correspondence for up to two years so we have a record of work quoted and carried out, then delete it.

When you just visit

Our hosting provider, Netlify, records standard server information such as your IP address, browser and the pages requested. This is used to keep the site running and secure. We do not use it to identify you.

Cookies and similar technologies

We do not set any analytics or advertising cookies unless you press Accept on the cookie bar. Until you do, the tools below run without storing anything on your device, or do not run at all. You can change your mind at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer.

The only thing we store before you choose is your choice itself, kept in your browser's local storage so we do not ask you on every page.

Separately, we remember whether you have already seen the 10% welcome offer, and the code itself if you choose to use it, so the card does not reappear on every page. That is kept in your browser's local storage, it is never sent to us and it is not used to track you. Clearing your browser data removes it.

If the welcome offer asks for your email address before it gives you the code, that address is stored so Rinse Revive can send you occasional offers and a reminder when your car is due a detail again. It is kept only for that, it is never sold or passed to anyone else, and every email we send carries an unsubscribe link that works straight away. You can also ask us to remove you at any time by emailing rinserevive@outlook.com.

If you accept

• Google Ads — measures whether an advert led to an enquiry, so advertising money is not wasted. Sets cookies beginning _gcl.
• Google Analytics — counts visits and shows which pages people read. Sets cookies beginning _ga.
• Microsoft Clarity — produces anonymised heatmaps and session replays showing where visitors scroll, tap and drop off, so we can improve the site. Sets cookies beginning _clck and _clsk. Clarity masks text content by default. It does not run at all unless you accept.

These are provided by Google LLC and Microsoft Corporation, who act as our processors and may transfer data outside the UK under approved safeguards. If you press Reject, we switch these off and clear any of the cookies above that are already on your device.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your information and we do not share it for marketing. We share it only with the suppliers who help us run the business, namely our website host (Netlify), our email and messaging providers, and the analytics and advertising providers listed above where you have consented.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email rinserevive@outlook.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or by calling 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and the date above.
